Closure of the Doncaster Sheffield Airport PRM Application
This is a simple hero unit to highlight key content.
It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the decommissioning of the PRM App at Doncaster Sheffield Airport (DSA).
Since its launch in 2018, the PRM App has played a vital role in supporting Passenger Service Assistants in managing Special Service Requests (SSRs). Prior to its introduction, staff had no digital system to coordinate assistance for passengers requiring additional support. The app marked a significant milestone in operational efficiency and service quality.
Over the years, the system contributed to numerous accolades, including a “Very Good” rating from the Civil Aviation Authority and recognition as the UK’s Best Airport by Which?. These achievements reflect the dedication of airport teams and the transformative impact of digital innovation.
Originally developed under Interserve’s contract and later maintained by Westgrove, the PRM App provided daily updates and consistent support to Doncaster Sheffield Airport.
In total, the system facilitated 41,355 assistance requests across 36,704 flights, serving 20,143 unique passengers.
As the airport no longer operates commercial flights, Air Service Assistants and their managers will no longer be able to access the system.
Aegir Digital remains committed to safeguarding all passenger, colleague, and flight data.

We extend our deepest thanks to all colleagues who contributed to this journey and wish them every success in their future endeavours.
